In their research on the glass, Professors F.A. Popp and Dr. H. Niggli theorized that there is immense unknown potential for the solar energy absorbed by our food. How Was It Developed?
Violet glass history is relatively short. First produced in 1995, it required nearly 50 years of experimentation to perfect. Initially, it was used for protecting an energetic medicine, Sun Remedies. Since then, it has been adopted throughout the health and wellness industry, particularly for storage of sensitive oils that are susceptible to deterioration when exposed to sunlight.
Use of violet glass is a way to boost the protective properties of traditional glass containers. Jakob Lorber, author of The Healing Properties of Sunlight, explains clearly how homeopathic remedies could be preserved using violet energy. How Does It Differ from Other Glass Bottles

Scientific Exploration of Violet Glass
Several tests have been carried out to prove the conserving properties of this type of glass. One of the main organizations producing violet glass has partnered with beekeepers to explore the benefits of honey storage. Through this ongoing research, beekeepers have determined that violet glass does much more for food preservation than other airtight containers.
For example, in one honey storage test, its flavour not only was preserved over time, it vastly improved. The various compounds in honey resisted decomposition and the violet glass preserved the flavour,
colour, beneficial enzymes, and molecular structure of the substance better, compared with other types of glass.
A similar test involved storing cherry tomatoes, one in a violet glass jar and one in a clear glass jar. Researchers kept both jars at room temperature in open sunlight for seven months. The tomato in the clear glass jar decomposed beyond recognition, showing signs of mould, dryness, and rot. The tomato stored in the violet glass jar showed no signs of discoloration or drying.
The Dutch company MIRON Violetglas AG performed another test on the preservation properties, storing chives for three months. Fresh chives were placed into three different glasses: violet, brown glass, and clear glass. After exposure to sunlight throughout the course of the test, the chives were measured by their visible colour and aroma.
The fresh green colour of the original herb was significantly impacted in the brown and clear containers; the chives were sun-bleached yellow and brown. The chives stored in the violet glass were still vibrantly green, maintaining their original colour. On top of this, in a blind aroma test, the violet glass chives significantly outperformed the other types.
